2006 activities
- The committee approved a number of revisions and clarifications to the PWDCA Water Trial Manual for the 2007. The changes were approved by the PWDCA Board of Directors at their February, 2007, meeting and are listed in the meeting minutes. The updated Water Trial Manual will be posted on this Web site when it is available.
- The committee received no new water trial judge applications.
- In 2006, the PWDCA sanctioned 33 water trials. These trials were hosted by 13 different regional clubs and add up to over 20 trial weekend.
- A total of 282 qualifying water trial performances were recorded in 2006. A complete report including the names of dogs and owners was published in the annual water issue of the Courier. (January/February 2007).
2006 qualifiers
- 65 Junior Water Dog Certificates
- 73 Apprentice Water Dog Titles
- 60 Working Water Dog Titles
- 42 Courier Water Dog Titles
- 9 Courier Water Dog Excellent Titles
- 33 Versatility Awards (some teams earned more than one award)
During the 2006 water season 158 new titles were awarded (73 Apprentice, 58 Working, 18 Courier, and 9 Courier Excellent).
In addition, 18 teams qualified a second time at the Courier level toward their Courier Water Dog Excellent titles.
